May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Caring for our mental health, similar to caring for our physical health, is a crucial part of healing from the trauma of experiencing domestic violence.

This awareness month addresses the challenges faced by millions living with mental health conditions.

DHF joins NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, in their Take the Moment campaign to participate in this movement dedicated to eradicating stigma, extending support, fostering public education and advocating for policies that prioritize the well-being of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Let’s work together to normalize the practice of taking moments to prioritize mental health care without guilt or shame.
